Teen saves infant cousin from burning house

After he rescued his child cousin from the burning building there is a Vermont teenager being confirmed a hero.

Based on Captain William Barss, the teenager ran to the home through the rear door to the house and to the adjacent room where his cousin, Michari Strayhorn, was located.

Gray tried to flee through the rear door however the fireplace and smoking were too intense so he made and went for the door where he were able to make it out secure, Barss told WITN.

” As a firefighter were experienced with all of the protective equipment that people have, the clothes the hoods, the bunker pants, gloves, to get into these fires and were trained to know our limitations,” Leader Barss told the TV station. “which child made it happen with perhaps less than what an average person could be carrying around the street.”

Firefighters arrived at the scene soon after the daring rescue.

Based on WITN, the family lost everything in the fire but his nephew and Gray had no incidents from the smoke or fire.
